Practice speaking with SpeakLog: record, compare, repeat
Keep the session small: describe an experience, check what you actually said, then choose one or two improvements to say again. SpeakLog helps you record and compare; it does not replace a teacher or guarantee learning outcomes.
Start with something you want to say
Choose a familiar topic: where you went today, what you are reading, or why you like a meal. You can draw a topic when stuck. AI-generated prompts use the current AI provider.
Speak before polishing. You do not need repeated takes just to produce a perfect script. An existing recording works too; check your practice language before transcribing.
Separate recognition errors from expression problems
The original layer helps you check what you said. Correct words the recognizer misheard without disguising grammar mistakes as something you said correctly.
The natural layer offers a separate rewrite. Read each explanation and category, then accept, skip or edit. Explanations can also be mistaken; verify anything uncertain.
Use readings and translation to review
Depending on the language, annotations can include furigana, pinyin or romanization, part-of-speech colors, keywords and translation. Coverage and output quality vary by language and AI provider.
Focus on a few words and patterns. A study blog can keep comparisons and grammar notes together; making a video is optional.
Say the revised version again
Use the teleprompter to re-record sentence by sentence or in one take, with alignment to subtitles. Listen back for pronunciation, pauses and meaning, rather than only checking the written result.
Keep the source recording for your own comparison. SpeakLog is currently not a cross-project learning dashboard or an Anki-card generator; it does not automatically aggregate all historical mistakes.
Finish with a manageable output
A bilingual subtitle file or a study blog is enough to finish a session. Make a video when you want to share, after checking its subtitles and privacy.
The AI assistant and external agents can edit project content. Back up important projects and review edits. Having an original layer does not make every project field immutable.
